Our junior dancers have not only demonstrated their exceptional talents but have also left an indelible mark on the dance world by gracing renowned events such as the Chicago International Salsa Congress and the Chicago Salsa Bachata Festival in both 2022 and 2023.
At Latin Street, we are dedicated to fostering the development of young dancers, providing a nurturing environment where passion and skill converge. Our Melao Jr. Team serves as a platform for your child to not only showcase their dancing progress but also to grow personally and discover the incredible journey that dance offers.

Our experienced instructors are not only experts in their craft but also mentors who guide and inspire each young dancer to reach their full potential.

As part of our dedication to showcasing our students’ accomplishments, we organize quarterly recitals, providing a total of four opportunities each year for parents, family members, and friends to witness the remarkable evolution of their children in the world of dance.
These recitals serve as a culmination of the hard work, dedication, and passion our students pour into their classes, offering a spectacular display of their newfound abilities and artistic expressions.
Our quarterly recitals go beyond being mere performances; they are a celebration of community, resilience, and the joy that comes from pursuing a passion. The stage becomes a canvas upon which our students paint their stories of progress, determination, and the sheer joy of expressing themselves through dance.

Latin Street is located in Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood. Our entrance is on Jefferson Street, easily accessible from I-90/94 and Lake Shore Drive. We offer FREE parking in our lot on 1128 S Jefferson St, just north of Binny’s parking lot (look for the red signs labeled Visitor Parking)
Our dance studio features:
- Three rooms that can be merged into one large 2200 sq. ft dance floor.
- Our professional floating dance floor has a foam layer between the wood and the cement floor, providing a softer surface and less impact on your kids’ joints.
- Over 30 sound absorption panels that help provide better quality sound and eliminate echoing and disruption.
Lastly, we have installed glass doors to ensure that parents can observe their child’s entire dance session, providing safety and security. This also allows parents to witness their child’s progress and growth firsthand, fostering a deeper appreciation for the art of dance.
