Suena Latin Jazz Band: A Journey of Evolution and Talent

Formation and Growth:

In January 2009, Suena began its musical voyage under the guidance of Mr. Laz Lee on Piano, Rene Avila on Bass, and Jc Delgado on Conga. Originally envisioned as a Latin jazz Trio, the band quickly expanded with the addition of Willy Bongomaniak Mullfulleda, leading to its transformation. As Laz Lee pursued his recording studio and other musical ventures, Jc and Willy resolved to keep the band alive, with JC assuming the role of leader for Suena Latin Jazz Band. Recognizing the need for a complete Latin percussion team, JC enlisted the talents of Danny Timbalero Hernandez. The band’s lineup solidified when Stuart Seale joined as the current Piano player and Musical Director.

Collaborations and Contributions:

Over the years, Suena has forged strong connections with remarkable musicians such as Brian Stark (bass & sax) and Justin Woodward (trumpet), both of whom have made significant contributions to original compositions and arrangements. While Carl, the trumpet player, currently serves our country in the military, the band welcomed David Bugher as their skilled vibes player. In 2013, as the band’s musical journey continued, a transition occurred when their original bass player moved on to pursue other musical projects. Enter Mr. Jose Rodriguez, who seamlessly joined the band, bringing his exceptional bass skills to Suena Latin Jazz Band.
