Salsa Classes in Portage Park
Make Mondays something to look forward to. Latin Street’s Salsa classes combine clear instruction, structured progression and plenty of guided practice in a welcoming environment for adult dancers.
Whether you are learning your first Salsa steps or continuing to develop your partner-work skills, you will receive practical instruction designed to help you feel more confident on the dance floor.
What You’ll Learn

Each Monday builds on the previous class, giving you time to understand, practice and retain what you learn.
Choose Your Level:
Beginner
Perfect for new dancers or anyone who wants to strengthen their fundamentals. No previous Salsa experience is required. We begin with timing, basic steps, partner connection and essential techniques.
Intermediate
Designed for dancers who already understand Salsa timing and basic partner work. Intermediate classes introduce more detailed technique, variations and combinations while improving control, clarity and musicality.
Class Schedule
Salsa meets every Monday from 7:30 to 8:15 PM.
Classes are organized into progressive four-week sessions. Consistent attendance is recommended because each lesson builds on material introduced during the previous week.
No partner is required. You may register individually, with a friend or as a couple. Partner rotation may be used during class so students can practice with different people.
Add Bachata to Your Monday
Want more time on the dance floor? Add the Bachata class immediately after Salsa.
- Salsa: 7:30–8:15 PM
- Bachata: 8:20–9:05 PM
Select the Salsa and Bachata option when registering to take both classes on the same evening.

Free street parking is available on Marmora Street, one block east of Irving Park Road, and on Deakin Street, one block south of the studio.
Please arrive a few minutes early so you have enough time to park, check in and prepare for class.
Registration and Drop-Ins
- Advance registration is recommended to reserve your place and select the correct level.
- Use code EB25 to save 10% when registering 5–12 days before the beginning of a new session.
- Single-class drop-ins are $25, subject to availability. Call 312-427-2572 before arriving to confirm space.
- Wear comfortable clothing and clean indoor shoes that allow you to move and turn safely. Avoid heavy rubber soles that may stick to the dance floor.
