Helmuth has had a highly successful career as a dancer. In 2014, he won the Adrian and Anita World Team Project, and the following year he became the champion at Euroson Latino. He went on to win the Salsa Team Pro championship in 2015 and 2016. In 2015, he crowned the champion at the Panama Salsa Fest, and in 2016, he came in second place at Euroson Latino.

Aside from his accomplishments as a dancer, Helmuth is also a highly skilled instructor. He has obtained 12 certifications with some of the top names in the industry, including Fernando Sosa, Adolfo Indacochea, Charlie García, and Tannia Cannarssa. In addition, he has completed two teacher training programs, one with Fernando Sosa and the other with Adolfo Indacochea.
