Andres Meneses
Andres Meneses is the owner of Latin Street Music & Dancing, a leading company that provides Latin dance lessons and entertainment. With over 20 years of experience, Andres has become a prominent Latin dance community figure known for his unwavering dedication to enriching people’s lives through dance and music in an all-inclusive and welcoming environment.
Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Andres has been dancing Salsa since 1984 and professionally since 1998. He has been featured on various local TV stations, including ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, and WGN, and has taught and performed across the US and Canada, including prestigious venues like Chicago Theater, Dance Center of Columbia College, and Copernicus Theater.
Andres is also an accredited judge at the World Salsa Championships (served as judge at DCBX, CSBF & Montreal Salsa Convention) and has worked as a producer, choreographer, and dancer for hit TV shows like Empire and Chicago Med.
He currently teaches several weekly classes at the studio and he continues to be active teaching public lessons at several weekly and one time events and festivals.
Despite facing challenges, Andres continues to show resilience and determination in ensuring the success of his studio. He is known for his hardworking nature, ability to accommodate his staff’s needs, and providing a supportive and accepting environment. Andres’ passion for dance and his genuine love for people is evident in his work, and he continues to bring the joy of dancing to those who need and enjoy it.
