Yvonne Vazquez, a native of Southern California, ignited her passion for dance in the 6th grade through a mixed-style class at an arts academy. This early exposure led her to explore a variety of dance styles, including lyrical, jazz, hip-hop, and social Latin dance, ultimately finding her forte in bachata and salsa during her college years. Yvonne has expanded her repertoire to include ballet, ballroom, heels, and modern dance, further honing her skills as an assistant at both her college and a ballet studio.

Her dedication to the craft has taken her around the world to teach and perform salsa and bachata, where she has trained with some of the industry’s best dancers. Yvonne’s commitment to excellence is evident in her accolades as a competitive dancer, winning championships at prestigious events such as the World Salsa Summit and the Crown Latin Dance.

As the owner and director of La Femme Dance Co., Yvonne is dedicated to cultivating a vibrant, inclusive dance community. Her mission is to create a safe space for dancers of all backgrounds, allowing them to thrive and enjoy their dance journey while celebrating strength, creativity, and independence. With a fierce spirit and a resilient team of queens, she uplifts her community through insight and support, celebrating strength, creativity, and freedom in every step.
