The 12 grapes on New Year’s is a tradition where individuals eat exactly 12 grapes at midnight to bring good luck and prosperity for the upcoming year. This tradition originated from Alicante, Spain, where grape growers used it as a symbol of gratitude towards God for their abundant harvest.
This tradition has been adopted by many countries in Latin America.
