You’re invited to our exclusive Open House on Saturday, September 14th, from 3:20 – 5:00 PM. Dive into the captivating world of the Brazilian Zouk at Latin Street Dance Studio, this is the only Zouk Performance Team in Chicago.
This is an opportunity to engage in an intentional choreography creation process led by Brigitte, the director of the Zouk MoveMeant Team, who brings her expertise in Brazilian Zouk, embodiment practices, and ritual theatre to create transformative dance experiences. Brigitte invites participants to bring their unique skills, diverse backgrounds, and personal stories to co-create a powerful dance piece.

About the Creation Process
This collaborative journey will:
- Integrate Diverse Stories: Bring your personal experiences and talents into the choreography.
- Explore Somatic Movement: Learn a movement language that deepens body awareness and fosters creativity, connecting mind and body through holistic practices.
- Combine Multiple Art Forms: Incorporate Brazilian Zouk, contemporary dance, ritual theatre, and other techniques.
- Foster a Supportive Community: Create a space that encourages collaboration, connection, and mutual growth.
No previous experience in choreography is required; however, some background in Zouk or other movement modalities is preferred.
