Elizabeth, Sensual Bachata Instructor
Elizabeth Turek has over 30 years of professional dance training and experience and 14 years of teaching experience. She began her professional studies at the Evanston School of Ballet, where she now teaches, and attended and graduated from The National Ballet School of Canada, a professional ballet boarding school.
She attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts Conservatory, studying Graham and Limon modern techniques. She has professional training and performance experience in ballet, contemporary, flamenco, and Latin dance, but her heart lies in teaching and social dancing. She recently completed the Bachata Sensual Professional Teaching Certification, with intensive study under the Spanish creators of Sensual Bachata.
She enjoys getting to know her students during their exciting dance journey and sharing her deep knowledge and love of dance. As one of her students expressed: “It’s not just about Bachata; it’s about dancing with your heart and your gut, which you taught me.”
