  • High beginner and intermediate Rueda de Casino dancers; this team’s for you!
  • You will learn, and polish intermediate Rueda calls
  • The team will perform intermediate Rueda calls to a mid-tempo song at the Latin Street Social.
  • Team practice every Saturday, starting Dec 9th
  • Rueda de Casino is a high-energy Cuban style of dance in formation, with a caller
  • The team aims to be a fun, welcoming, diverse, enthusiastic group of dancers expanding and sharing our knowledge and love of Rueda de Casino

Director: Vincent Williams

Vincent S. Williams is a filmmaker, dancer, and cultural researcher. He has worked on films and television shows such as Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, The Chi, and Burning Sands.
He began dancing Casino with DC Casineros under the training of Adrian Valdivia and Amanda Gill in 2011. He performed with the company until 2015. DC Casineros is certified in MCC, El Metodo
del Caudro de Casino (the Square Method of Casino). His formal dance training began during his teen years under the mentorship of several dancers and dance educators.
Vincent’s many instructors and mentors include Dr. Sherrell Berryman-Johnson, Assane Konté, Ronald K.Brown, Luther Fontaine and Dr. Yatandé Whitney V. Hunter. Vincent has learned the fundamentals of other movement styles, which include West African Dance, Tap Dancing, Katherine Dunham Technique, Martha Graham Technique, DC Hand dancing, Capoeira,
Samba, Rumba and Ballet. He has performed Rueda De Casino with Movement Revolution Dance Company (Monternez Rendell) in their Opposites Attract Annual Concert (2019). He is also skilled in Hip-Hop and popular dance, including Popping, Locking, Breakdancing, and Chicago Steppin’ and Footworking. Vincent earned his Bachelor’s degree and Master of Fine Arts from Howard University in Washington DC.
