After being a dance performer, dance instructor & Nightclub promoter, Andres "El Papichulo" decided to start "DJing" after one of his scheduled DJs decided to leave in an emergency in the middle of Salsa Nightclub promotion, and was left without dancing music in the peak of a dancing night.

El Papichulo has been the resident DJ for several weekly Salsa events in Chicago such as Wednesdays at The Note for 2 years, Art Bar for 2 years, Salsa @ The Original Mothers for 3 years and VooDoo Nightclub Salsa Thursdays in Schaumburg for 5 years from 2000-05 & Excalibur Tropical Thursdays 2005-today.

El Papichulo has been invited to DJ at City of Chicago's Winterdancin' Event at The Museum of Modern Ice (Feb 08) @ Millenium Park, Macy's Floranova 2008 & to open for Ely Guerra @ The Navy Pier Beer Garden in 2011.

For the most part of 2009 & 2010, El Papichulo programed and directed his own radio show "Radio Salsa" every Saturday from 2p-4p on 1240am with "El Bello Bello".

Currently, DJ El Papichulo has guest spots during Live Salsa Sundays @ The Cubby Bear, DJs at private events & Latin Street events.
